Message: Dear Andrew,
I seem to remember having heard you ask for feedback on your PCL content of late, so here are a few thoughts and praises.
I really like Andrew and Brett’s Teen Saga, I usually listen to it with mouth agape from horrified astonishment while simultaneously relating to yinz, knowing that I was in no way a better person at that age. Nobody has a squeaky clean history, but most are (well, at any rate, I am) too embarrassed to even think, let alone talk about it, and certainly never ever into a microphone. I think it probably takes a lot of bravery and I know it makes for great content. Anyone who listens to the regular shows but is not a PCL member is missing out bigly.
The music shows are good, too. It would be useful if they were easily identifiable from their titles, something like “PCL 128: Andrew’s Music Show part 2: Oi!” instead of “PCL 128: Oi!”. That would make it less confusing while scrolling through PCL content: I could’ve sworn that I’d never heard “PCL 126: Sorry, I used your tampons to stop my heart from bleeding” until I realised that it’s just the first episode of your music show. Oh, by the way, I didn’t know you used to play bass, another possible reason why you didn’t get any. I have the same predicament. I chose this uncool instrument because I thought it would be easier than the real guitar, and it is. I still play bass and I still don’t get any.
I obviously like the sordid stories that go with the songs and also some of the music itself is rather good. Something I’d like to hear more of in future music shows is theory: You think that your taste in music is objectively good and it would be great if you could give us five easy ways to tell a great song from garbage, perhaps go into some detail with examples. It’s a shame Tom’s not a music professor, one would possibly make an interesting guest.
