The following ideas have a disadvantage in that they are from behind the paywall, but they may work in a wider context anyway. First, and you yourselves came up with it, I’m only here to remind you of it: “Speak the truth, Hitler Youth!” with David Hogg’s face on it. I don’t know who would ever wear it, but remember — merch is not meant to be worn, it’s meant to be gifted. I learned that from Scott Adams who sells some amount of Dilbert merch which nobody actually wears. Thus there may be a market for this nice edgy meme shirt that gun nuts would gift to their annoying lefty friends.
Second idea: “We have to be behind a paywall to do it”. It is poignant, yet nicely vague, but you’d need to come up with a graphic to really make it work. I’m imagining a pair of sexy lips and a finger doing the “sshh” symbol.
